Glasgow creates first Chair of Gaelic in Scotland

Regular readers will know that recently I have been attempting to learn Gaelic.  I’ve been at home for the last week being mum and on my return to work I saw this item on the University website.  I don’t know the individual concerned personally but I am delighted to see this announcement.

The post of Gaelic Language Officer at the University referred to in the news item is the reason I have been able to attend free lessons in Gaelic during lunch hours.
